Aikido Kapiti

Practising the Iwama style of Aikido

Aikido on the Kapiti Coast

Aikido Kapiti  is a martial arts club practising classical Aikido.

The club has been training since 2005, with members joining us from all along the Coast: Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Otaki, and even further afield in the Wellington region.

Aikido is not a competitive sport. It is a traditional Japanese martial art that can be practised by adults of all ages and abilities.

Training covers unarmed techniques as well as weapons (traditional Japanese sword, short staff and dagger).

The video links on this site (Links and videos  and FAQ pages) provide further information about our club and the style of Aikido that we practise.
